304 (0Cr18Ni9) is a typical low carbon austenitic stainless steel, with good processing and molding properties and oxidation resistance, strong corrosion resistance to oxidizing acid (such as nitric acid), alkali solution and most of the organic and inorganic acid also has a certain degree of corrosion resistance.The intergranular corrosion resistance of 1Cr18Ni9 is better than that of 1Cr18Ni9 with high carbon content, but it still has the tendency of intergranular corrosion when working in water and steam for a long time.The steel has good weldability.Austenitic stainless steel cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, but can only be strengthened by work hardening.
Physical properties: melting temperature range 1398~1454℃
Chemical properties:304 (0 cr18ni9) in below 900℃ hot air has the stable oxidation resistance, resistance to nitric acid, sulfuric acid, acetic acid, oxalic acid and phosphoric acid and other corrosive ability is good, the parts for a long time working in a corrosive medium, the water or steam medium, intergranular corrosion damage can occur, solid solution state, the bow of constant change sample boil at 42% magnesium chloride solution,Intergranular corrosion occurred after 31h.
