Inconel 600 has good corrosion resistance of reducing, oxidizing and nitriding media.ⓑ has good stress corrosion cracking resistance at room temperature and high temperature;ⓒ has good corrosion resistance of dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride gas;ⓓ has good mechanical properties at sub-zero, room temperature and high temperature;ⓔ has good creep fracture strength and is recommended for use above 700°.
Corrosion resistance:
Good corrosion resistance to all kinds of corrosive media, high temperature oxidation and scaling resistance, high temperature intergranular corrosion.A restricted chemical modification of the alloy is used for the spark plug electrode (see original).The chromium composition gives the alloy better corrosion resistance under oxidation conditions than nickel 99.2 (alloy 200) and nickel 99.2 (alloy 200, low carbon).At the same time, the higher nickel content makes the alloy have good corrosion resistance in reduction conditions and alkaline solutions, and can effectively prevent chlorine-iron stress corrosion cracking.Alloy 600 has good corrosion resistance in acetic acid, acetic acid, formic acid, stearic acid and other organic acids, and moderate corrosion resistance in inorganic acids.The high purity water used for primary and secondary circulation in nuclear reactors has excellent corrosion resistance.In particular, it is resistant to corrosion by dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride at up to 650°C.At high temperature, the annealed and solution treated alloys have good oxidation resistance and high strength in air.The alloy can also resist ammonia and nitriding and carburizing atmosphere, but the alloy will be corroded by some oxidizing medium during the alternation of REDOX.
Application: heat treatment, nitriding and carburizing equipment.High temperature zone, filter, pickling basket, still, radiation tube, exhaust pipe for control rear buffer.
